Life has been very good to us over the past year! And yet I am still horrible about keeping up my blog. I make no promises for the future, but for now am getting something into print today! :-)
I still have my job working for Oracle and am very exciting about an upcoming project. We are so blessed that I get to work from my own living room...I don't know how we would do it otherwise.
Rick is still attending school to become a Civil Engineer and unfortunately still has 3 more years to go...but we'll make it! (Though I'm sure at times Rick doesn't feel that way). The real exciting news for Rick is he joined a band several months ago and they are starting to perform. In May, they will be the opening band for the Lead guitarist from Tesla (I'm not familiar with them, but apparently Tesla is pretty big). They have all originals and are hoping to start recording sometime in the next few months. I'm so glad Rick has something besides school that he loves!
Our big news is of course Niki!!! Nicole Stacy Keizer was born Mar 31, 2010 wieghing in at 7 lbs and 13 oz. By her 2 week apt, she weighed 9 lbs 7 oz. I guess she like to eat :-) She is such a good baby. I was soooo excited when she was born, she had a full head of dark dark hair about 1in long. But since then she has gone bald on the top of her head (yes, leaving her looking like a balding guys head) aahhh well...at least we get to look forward into finding out what her true hair color will be :-)
Patcy has grown up sooooo much and is so adorable. She is a ton of fun and especially loves to play with her daddy (I've come to find out that I'm not that fun of a mom, because I don't get down and wrestle nor throw her in the air that much...thank goodness for Rick).
Ok, so that wasn't too bad to just sit down and write this...I just need to remember to do it on a regular basis. But now my girls are up and I'd better go. Below are some pics that were recently taken.

Happy Birthday Patcy May!!! (her birthday is on the 18th, but I don't trust myself to actually post something on that day :-)
Patcy May Keizer will be 1 this month!! I can not believe how fast time has flown!!! Patcy has just recently gone from walking from furniture to furniture, to actually having the confidence to walk accross the middle of the room. She also just learned the other day how to stand up all by herself in the middle of the room with no assistance. She is such a cutie and so fun to play with (she especially loves to play with her daddy). She used to eat anything I gave her, but now she has learned that if she doesn't like something, she can simply spit it out! I was hoping she'd never catch onto that one. :-) She doesn't have any specific words yet, though we know she understands quite a bit (especially 'no')! She does sign 'All Done' 'milk' and 'more' (though 'more' is just with one hand for now). It's funny, she'll come up to me, concentrate really hard and start sqeezing her hand in and out...sometimes it takes me awhile to realize she's trying to tell me she wants milk. And even more surprising, she really does want to nurse! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, happy, beautiful daughter!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATCY!!!
Rick and Brenda are still chugging along!! Rick is doing great at school and enjoying most of it! He is working out quite a bit to hopefully get into really good shape in time for baseball season. He's hopeing to play for the men's city league in Brigham City. Brenda got sick of working on the couch (working in the back room at the desk never worked because Patcy was either sleeping or didn't want to spend her play time in the small room when she could be out in the living room), so they moved the couch into the bedroom (it was a close call, but the couch fit...after taking the door off it's hindges) and Brenda's desk into the living room. It's so much nicer to work at a desk AND be able to watch Patcy at the same time. Plus Patcy is getting a kick out of playing underneath the desk - fortunate for her, she still fits underneath standing straight up. We'll see how long that lasts!
We all had a fun trip to California where we were able to spend Christmas and New Years with family and friends. Rick's family especially enjoyed being able to spend time with Patcy!
More fun Pics of us and Patcy over the past few months...

Our BiG MOVE!!!
Our Family Life has completely changed in the past couple of months. In April we went to Utah to visit the Daniels family and have our baby girl, Patcy, blessed. While visiting, a discussion came up for Rick to go to school to get his Engineering degree. Not only that, but Brenda's parents invited them to live in their basement while Rick goes to school. At first we didn't think much of it, but as Rick started pondering the idea, researching the engineering program, visiting the school, etc., it became a very plausible idea.
Well, that idea turned into a reality! And now we are in UTAH!!! We moved here (Perry, UT) on Aug 1, 2008 and Rick started school Aug 25th. Not only is Rick able to attend school, but Brenda was able transfer to be a remote employee, enabling her to work from her parents basement! What a HUGE blessing!!!
We truly feel blessed for how our lives have been led by the Lord's hand. We feel and acknowledge our Heavenly Father for ALL that we have.
The only negative thing to living here in Utah (besides missing the wonderful California weather) is being away from Rick's family. Rick has never been far away from his home in Hayward California and his family is not used to him being away. Not only that, we took their ONLY grandbaby away!! They were an intrigal part of our life while living there in California and we miss them VERY much!! But we do plan on visiting them quite often - so hopefully they'll see us and Patcy enough to forgive us for moving away! :-)
